EXCERPT. . .. . . I felt the warm red liquid trickle down my forehead. . . my cheek. . . down my neck, my body spun so my eyes stared out at the twickleing night sky. shards of broken glass reflected the brillent white moon and sparkled onto my white skin. thats when i caught a glimmer of sunflower yellow.
it looked at me, it's blzck puple narrowing in pain as Madeline's truck slammed into it's side. that's when the reflection of the moon showed me it'd form. it was huge, at least eghit-feet-tall on all four of it's legs. the large black now moved so i could see it's thick, soft, matted fur. moon white teeth snarling at me.
it was huge. it was alive. it was one of my protectors, soon to be one of my enemies. it was a wolf.
the corse of time that i stared at this beast, and the time i finaly hit the ground in a roll, felt like minutes. but only lasted for seconds.
my eyes were heavy, my body cold from the mixture of blood and the soft breeze of the chilled scotland air. my arm felt broken but there was no pain. i was too close to death for it.
the air got colder. . . not because of the air, or the blood. the air was thick with the sweetest sent ever. sweeter than a freshly bloomed rose. thats the first time i ever heard his voice. . .
